The Dallas Mavericks shocked the NBA world ahead of the trade deadline by trading superstar and generational talent Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers.
It was a move that has made Mavericks' general manager Nico Harrison public enemy No. 1 in Dallas. He has received a lot of heat since making the decision to move on from Doncic.
Plenty of massive blockbuster trades have happened in the NBA over the years. However, the Doncic deal was one of the most surprising that anyone has experienced.
One former NBA player spoke out about another trade that happened this year that was actually worse than the Mavericks dumping Doncic.
Theo Pinson, who last played in the league during the 2022-23 NBA season with Dallas, revealed his surprising take on another trade worse than the Doncic deal.
He believes that the Miami Heat trading Jimmy Butler away to the Golden State Warriors was a worse move.
"That is a worse trade than Dallas and the Lakers, by far… Jimmy Butler was Heat culture. Regardless of what the (expletive) you thought he was doing off the court, that (expletive) brought a toughness. He brought a mentality. He had leadership. Bro, I swear to God, it did not matter what seed the Miami Heat were-if they got in the playoffs, any team that played them didn't want to see him and had to buckle the (expletive) up."

While he is certainly allowed to have his opinion on the matter, many fans disagreed.
"Delusion my guy," one commenter wrote.
Another commented, "Wiggins alone is averaging more than Jimmy did this entire season with the Heat btw."
Yet another comment read, "actual brain dead comment go watch some basketball."
Despite all of the comments, Pinson believes that the Butler trade was worse than Doncic being shipped out by the Mavericks.
