Brandon Graham Announces Retirement After 15-Year Eagles Run

Few heoes in Philadelphia Eagles history have had the kind of tumultuous career that Brandon Graham went through.

Drafted in the first-round in 2010, Graham struggled to find a role that worked for him through three different coaches changes and multiple alterations along the defensive staff.

Through all the turmoil, Graham never wavered.

And now, with his announcement Tuesday afternoon of his retirement from playing, he bows out as one of the greatest Eagles of all-time.

"I gave everything I had," Graham said through tears. "I have no regrets."

No player in team history played in more games than Graham over his record 15-year run. His 206 games played are 13 more than the second place man in recently retired center Jason Kelce.

Graham finishes his career third all-time in sacks across Eagles history. He moved past Clyde Simmons with 76.5 this past season and falls behind Reggie White and Trent Cole on the all-time list.

Perhaps no moment in Eagles history meant more than his strip-sack on Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII to give Philadelphia their first Super Bowl in franchise history. No play comes close, and no player will ever as well through Philadlephia sports history.

Graham got his football career started at Michigan where he became a quality leader and edge rusher. He grew into that role with the Eagles over the last 15 years. And while his career does end, the organization will need to move forward without the greatest player in team history.
