West Ham could look to replace Lucas Paqueta as he begins a legal battle with the FA.
The Brazil international has been accused of deliberately getting himself booked in four separate matches to influence betting markets.
The FA launched an investigation over a yellow card that was received against Bournemouth back in August 2023 and over 18 months later, a hearing is set to start this month.
As the 27-year-old looks to prove his innocence, the Hammers will be planning for potentially going on without the midfielder under Graham Potter.

West Ham can replace Paqueta
There is no doubt that the former Lyon man has been one of the best players in the Irons’ squad since signing in East London.

Under David Moyes, Paqueta was excellent at times as the Europa Conference League title made its way to the London Stadium.
This season has completely contrasted that as the number ten has struggled under Julen Lopetegui and Potter to find his feet.

As a result, securing positive results without the ex-Flamengo man could be entirely possible, just as it was against Arsenal and Leicester City in February.
Former Hammers midfielder Martin Allen believes the Irons can replace Paqueta in what could be a “devastating” moment in his career.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “He’s missed two games through injury and West Ham won both games.
“He is replaceable but how long will he get? We don’t know. If he is found guilty, can someone step up to the plate? They’ve shown in those two games that they can.
“Paqueta’s form since these allegations came out, has not been as good as it once was.
“*He was once unplayable and brilliant and looked set for a move to Manchester City so it has had a devastating effect on him and his whole career.*“

West Ham to recover without Paqueta
Potter typically utilises very hard-working and active players to fulfil his tactical vision.
This has been on show with James Ward-Prowse and his return to the London Stadium after spending the first half of the season at Nottingham Forest.
Jarrod Bowen has also flourished under the English head coach and can certainly pick up the slack if Paqueta is to be banned.
Supporters will eagerly await the results of the Brazilian’s hearing and whether he will be able to play for the Hammers again.
