With Indiana's 2024-25 season and the Mike Woodson era officially over, the Hoosiers will see a flurry of roster movement. Players with remaining eligibility will test the transfer portal. Of course, Indiana plays can enter the portal and return to Bloomington if the new coach and the player mesh.
The NCAA Tournament committee announced the 68-team field on Sunday, and the Hoosiers were named the second team outside the bracket. Immediately following the bracket reveal, Peegs.com's Jeff Rabjohns reported that Indiana would decline the NIT and The Crown Basketball Tournament to officially end the season.
INDIANA'S COACHING HOT BOARD
The college basketball portal officially opens on March 24. Still, players have announced their intentions to enter the portal since the end of February, and the behind-the-scenes transfer recruiting never stops.
With any coaching change in this era, there will be massive roster turnover, which is expected at Indiana. The IU athletics department announced Woodson would step down after the season on February 7, so coaches across the country could circle Indiana players as potential targets early in the process.
Peegs.com will track the Indiana player movement throughout the offseason.

Gabe Cupps (March 18) —After missing most of his sophomore year due to injury, Cupps plans to enter the transfer portal. The Ohio native only played four games before missing the rest of the season. He played four minutes against Providence in the Battle 4 Atlantis in The Bahamas before having surgery on his left knee.
Cupps started 22 games as a freshman as veteran point guard Xavier Johnson battled injuries. He played 21.7 minutes per game over 33 contests, averaging 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.
Cupps entered Indiana as 247Sports.com's No. 131 prospect, a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He played club basketball with Reed Sheppard (University of Kentucky and Houston Rockets) throughout high school. He played with Bronny James as a middle school player and went viral by challenging LeBron James to a shooting contest.
He won Ohio's Mr. Basketball award in 2022.
