Tracy Morgan made headlines last night when he single-handedly brought a halt to Monday’s New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat. Fortunately, it looks like his ugly moment wasn’t evidence of a larger health issue.
Celebrity row is what makes Knicks games at Madison Square Garden different than most. Famous people from film television, broadway, and other sports are always courtside for games throughout the season. The most notable of those celebs is legendary director Spike Lee. He is as serious a Knicks fan as anyone in the city. However, Saturday Night Live alum Tracy Morgan may be a close second.

Morgan has become a consistent fixture at Knicks games the last few years and that is why it was no surprise he was at Monday’s game between his favorite team and the Miami Heat. However, he became the center of attention in a way he did not want when he ended up vomiting all over the court and forced a pause to the action.
He was checked on by arena medical staff and taken off the floor in a wheelchair. The 56-year-old Morgan has had health issues in the past, so the incident concerned his fans. Well, it seems he is just fine and was the victim of food poisoning.

“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning,” Morgan wrote in a post on Instagram and included a picture in a hospital bed. “Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you! More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs. 😅”
The Knicks scored a dominant 116-95 victory over the Heat on Monday night. It’s good to see the popular comedian take it all in stride and even offer a gross good lucky charm for the team when the postseason arrives this spring.
