Aston Villa's John McGinn has praised Marcus Rashford, stating that the on-loan England international is playing with renewed joy. The Scotland international highlighted Rashford's impressive performance in Villa's 3-0 triumph over Club Brugge last week as his best yet in claret and blue.
McGinn believes that if manager Unai Emery can keep both Rashford and star player Marco Asensio in form, they are two talents 'every club in the country would take.' Despite not scoring for Villa yet, Rashford has contributed four assists.
In the FA Cup match against Cardiff City, the 27-year-old created six 'big' opportunities - equalling his record at parent club [Manchester United](https://www.express.co.uk/latest/manchester-united-fc). When asked if he recognised the quality of 'a player' within minutes, Villa's captain responded: "Yes, both Marcus and Marco showed glimpses which have proved they are at the highest level.
"They have maybe lost their way for certain reasons but what they'll get from us is love and support and teammates who will graft for them. We want them to be happy again.
"And every day that you see them, they have a smile on their face. That's when you know footballers are happy and at their best."
Reflecting on the game against Club Brugge, he said: "In that game against Club Brugge, Marcus played his best game in that second half. He was a constant threat.
"If we can get those two firing, they're a pair that every club in the country would take."
Villa's upcoming Champions League rivals, Paris St Germain, have received a significant advantage as their league match against Nantes has been rescheduled. The team managed by Luis Enrique was set to play against the Canaries sandwiched between their two encounters with Villa.
