According to Alan Myers, the Friedkins have decided to leave two of the club’s statues at Goodison instead of taking them with to Bramley-Moore Dock.

‘Dixie and the Trinity statues are staying at Goodison I believe,’ said the Sky Sports man on social media.

Jamie Carragher thinks Everton fans will approve the stadium move, but it is apparent there will be a lot of the club’s history left behind.

Leaving Goodison is a huge move for the Toffees, but the financial gains could be absolutely massive for the club.

Everton are expected to double their matchday revenue at Bramley-Moore Dock, which will provide the club with a big PSR boost.

The stadium move this summer is going to mark a fresh chapter at Everton.

A lot has already changed since the Friedkins were handed the keys on Merseyside, with David Moyes’ appointment marking the most significant.

However, the changes set to occur away from the pitch could be even more revolutionary for the Toffees.

Everton have secured a new finance deal for the stadium which will give the club around £50m more to play with each season.

It is moves like this that mark the exciting future ahead of the Toffees with the new owners in a state-of-the-art stadium.

Alongside the financial boost the stadium will provide on its own, Everton are looking to purchase Nelson Dock to continue the development on the site.
