Chelsea are considering the option of terminating Jadon Sancho's loan contract from Manchester United before the end of the season, as per iNews.
The England international joined the Blues on loan from the Red Devils last summer. As part of the deal, an obligation to buy was agreed if the club finished 14th or higher in the Premier League.
As things stand, the Blues will be obliged to buy him in the summer, but iNews claim that the London giants are exploring the possibility of terminating Sancho's loan with a penalty fee.
The Blues don't want to recruit Sancho for £25m on top of his hefty £250,000 weekly wages. If a termination is mutually agreed, United are likely to offload him to another club in the next transfer window.
Sancho has had a strained relationship with the Red Devils and it is unlikely that the club will contemplate the option of integrating him into the squad under manager Ruben Amorim next season.
