Marcus Rashford of Aston Villa with John McGinn
John McGinn has been impressed by Marcus Rashford's impact at Aston Villa
John McGinn says that Marcus Rashford is playing with a smile on his face again at Aston Villa. The Scotland international claimed the on-loan England international put in his best shift in a claret shirt during the second-half of Villa’s 3-0 victory over Club Brugge last week.
And he says that if boss Unai Emery can get both him and star man Marco Asensio firing, that they are two players ‘every club in the country would take.’ Rashford has yet to find the net for Villa but he has four assists to his name. During the FA Cup tie against Cardiff City, the 27-year-old created six ‘big’ chances - as many as he did throughout his time wearing the red shirt of parent club Manchester United.
Asked if he knew within five minutes whether he was in the presence of ‘a player,’ Villa’s captain said: “Yes, both Marcus and Marco showed glimpses which have proved they are at the highest level. They have maybe lost their way for certain reasons but what they’ll get from us is love and support and team-mates who will graft for them.

“We want them to be happy again. And every day that you see them, they have a smile on their face. That’s when you know footballers are happy and at their best.
"In that game against Club Brugge, Marcus played his best game in that second half. He was a constant threat. If we can get those two firing, they’re a pair that every club in the country would take.”
Meanwhile, Villa’s next opponents in the Champions League, Paris St Germain, have been given a huge boost after their league fixture against Nantes was re-scheduled. Luis Enrique’s men were due to face the Canaries between their two clashes against Villa.
