NFL Mock Draft Predicts Major Shakeup After Shocking Top 3 Picks

As April quickly approaches, mock draft is starting to heat up, with more information gathered and more detailed scouting reports conducted on players.

That can cause some unique mock drafts to be produced, leading either to other mock drafters to follow suit, or for that mock draft to stand out from the others.

One type of mock draft that is starting to gather some steam is one like the recent mock draft on PFF from John Kosko.

He has the New York Giants trading up from pick No. 3 to pick No. 1 with the Tennessee Titans to take quarterback Cam Ward out of Miami.

That leaves the Cleveland Browns to take Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders with the No. 2 pick.

Then, the draft receives a major shakeup, with the Titans also selecting a quarterback in Ole Miss product Jaxon Dart.

While Dart seems like a good quarterback prospect, he is more commonly mocked in the second round or later, and once in a while reaches the back half of the first round.

However, due to desperation from the quarterback-needy teams, it is plausible Dart could reach the top of the NFL draft and join the likes of Ward and Sanders.

That causes a massive shakeup with the other top prospects, mainly Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter. Typically both are taken in the top four or even top two in mock drafts, but in this mock, Hunter falls to five to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Carter falls to seven to the New York Jets.

Based on this mock, it is clear the teams in the back half of the top ten would love if three quarterbacks went in the top three.

Due to recent injury news, it is possible Carter falls slightly, but falling to pick No. 7 would be astronomical, and would leave Jets fans jumping for joy.

While taking Dart third overall feels like a huge reach, at the very least the Titans trade down to gain draft capital in the process, making the move feel more feasible.

Quarterbacks went with each of the top three picks in last year's draft, and all three seem legit, so a repeat of that is completely possible, albeit each of this year's quarterbacks seem like worst prospects than each of Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye.

While quarterbacks going with each of the top three picks in this year's draft seems unlikely, it would have a fun impact on the rest of the draft and could leave teams scrambling.
