Saints re-sign offensive lineman Landon Young

Depth is one of the most vital ways a team can succeed in the NFL, and in recent years, the New Orleans Saints have struggled in that area. Last season in particular, we saw the lack of depth on the offensive line affect games. Head coach Kellen Moore values building in the trenches, and depth is an aspect of that. In free agency, the Saints have already signed offensive lineman Will Clapp, and today, they have announced that Landon Young has returned on a 1-year deal.

Young was a 6th round NFL Draft pick by the Saints in 2021. Since then, he has been a great depth piece and utilized as the 6th lineman on short yardage situations. Retaining Young is a good decision, but work on the offensive still needs to happen with a hole at left guard.
