Chelsea, Bayern Munich bettle West Ham for 25-year-old Serie A goalkeeper

Mile Svilar might have a decision to make on his future in the summer as the likes of Chelsea and Bayern Munich express an interest.

According to Corriere della Sera, Mile Svilar emerges as a target for Chelsea and Bayern Munich ahead of the summer. The AS Roma keeper has been in a good run of form for the Serie A giants, as he may have a big career decision on his hands in the close season.

Many top teams are expected to enter the amrket for a goalkeeping signing, with Chelsea and Bayern Munich one of thsoe eager to bring in a stopper. There are plenty of options evaluated in the market, and starting with the Premier League giants, have a visible problem between the sticks.

Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen have underperformed this season, with their displays leading to plenty of goals being conceded. The former could have interest from Spain, while it’s unclear what Chelsea plan to do with the latter, who has been in and out of the starting lineup this season.

There are links to Aaron Ramsdale, with the Southampton star eager to stay in the Premier League if Southampton suffer relegation as expected. Chelsea are also planning on selling Kepa Arrizabalaga, with the Spanish keeper performing well on loan at Bournemouth. The Blues are now targetting AS Roma’s 25-year-old Serie A goalkeeper Mile Svilar as a potential target, with Enzo Maresca likely to use him as competition.

Svilar also has Bayern Munich’s interest, with the Bavarians in the market for a keeper with the view of a long-term replacement for Manuel Neuer. The latter has not shown any signs of slowing down just yet, as his form has scuppered many potential talents reaching their heights at the club. Whether such a role will entice Svilar remains the question, as the Roma stopper might only move if there’s guaranteed game time ahead.

Mile Svilar has a decison to make on his future.

Svilar has played 42 times as Roma’s first choice keeper this season across all competitions, and should he leae the club, he will want to be a No.1 elsewhere. There are some other mid-table clubs in the Premier League angling a move, although he might give preference to one of the big sides such as Chelsea or Bayern Minich.

The report also states the 25-year-old Serie A goalkeeper’s representatives are demanding a salary of €4 million per year after tax, something Roma have not agreed to yet. For other sides, it might seem steep, as Svilar might have to lower his demands if he wishes to make the switch or even to stay put at Roma.
