Based on what we have been hearing from various sources over the last few weeks, it appears that Ange Postecoglou’s men are expected to prioritise reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer.
We have heard that Tottenham have already held talks over the free signing of Lille midfielder Angel Gomes while other outlets have said over recent weeks that Spurs are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
Now, it has been revealed that another Premier League midfielder, who has been turning people’s heads with his impressive displays over the last couple of years, is also on the Lilywhites’ radar.

Tottenham set for a transfer battle for England international
CaughtOffside have now claimed that Tottenham are one of the clubs considering a summer move for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White.
The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the most consistent performers in the English top-flight over the last two seasons and he is currently looking to fire Forest into the Champions League.
The report says that the midfielder is ‘firmly’ on Spurs‘ radar, but the North London side are expected to face competition from the likes of Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, and Man United for the player.
MORE SPURS STORIES
It is explained that Forest are trying to tie Gibbs-White to a new contract but if they fail to do so, they are open to selling him for a fee of around €60m (£50.6m).
Tottenham may prefer cheaper alternatives to Gibbs-White
Gibbs-White has all the attributes to thrive in Postecoglou’s system and is the kind of player Spurs need in their midfield engine room.
However, there are some cheaper options available, including Angel Gomes, whose contract runs out in June, while Spurs also have the option to sign Johnny Cardoso for £21m from Real Betis this summer.
Tottenham may thus be hesitant to get into a bidding war for Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.
