The National Basketball Association asked the US Supreme Court Tuesday to review a federal appeals court decision reinstating a proposed class action accusing the league of video data-sharing violations.
The US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit’s 2024 ruling that Michael Salazar sufficiently alleged a concrete injury and that he was a “subscriber” under the 1988 federal Video Privacy Protection Act should be reversed, the NBA’s petition said.
