Cooper Kupp is excited to get to face the Rams

Cooper Kupp made his first press conference as a member of the [Seattle Seahawks](https://www.fieldgulls.com/) on Tuesday and he says he’s excited that he gets to face the [L.A. Rams](https://www.turfshowtimes.com/) twice a year, but that staying within the division wasn’t part of his decision. Kupp signed a three-year, $45 million contract with the Seahawks only days after he was released by the Rams in a cap-saving move.

As NFC West foes, Kupp will get to face the Rams twice a year, as long as he stays healthy.

> “Yeah, I am looking forward to (facing the Rams). That didn’t play into the decision to come here, it was a nice little thing on the side to be able to go against those guys. I have so much respect for the coaching staff, how they handle things, the players down there. It’s a really cool thing. When that time comes, it’ll just be football at that point.”

Kupp was born and raised in Yakima, Washington and had a historic college football career at Eastern Washington University. His grandfather and father also both played college football in the state of Washington. So it’s a homecoming for Kupp, but his NFL homecoming will always be the Rams.
