Ja’Marr Chase’s Five-Word Message on Record-Breaking Contract

In 2024, the Cincinnati Bengals' offense was one of the most efficient in the NFL, ranking ninth in total yards per game (365.5) and sixth in points per game (27.8).

One of the biggest contributors was wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who the Bengals have now locked up on a four-year $161 million extension.

That now keeps him with the team through the 2029 season and makes him the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history in both total value and highest in yearly salary ($40.25 million).

It's a major milestone, and on Tuesday, the Bengals shared photos of Chase signing the contract via a social media post, to which he responded, "It's starting to hit me."

Since being drafted by Cincinnati with the No. 6 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Chase has established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

Since then, he's accumulated 395 receptions, 4,525 yards, and 46 touchdowns on 582 targets while also winning the triple crown in 2024, leading the league in receptions (127), yards (1,708), and touchdowns (17).

His personal accolades also reflect those impressive numbers, having won the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, made four Pro Bowls and First-Team All-Pro.

Chase will only be 25 years old by the start of the 2025 season, and he will have a chance to continue to prove to everyone why he deserves a record-breaking contract.
