NBA Insider Makes Jimmy Butler Statement Ahead of Bucks-Warriors

The Golden State Warriors will host the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night in an interconference showdown.

Of course, this will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Warriors as they lost to the Denver Nuggets without Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray on Monday night.

They will now have another tough matchup against a Bucks team that has won six of their last 10 games.

Golden State will also be without their superstar point guard Stephen Curry for Tuesday's matchup against Milwaukee as they are resting him as they continue to manage his back injury.

With Curry out of the lineup, the Warriors will have an even tougher matchup against the Bucks and they will need Jimmy Butler to step up in Curry's absence.

That is exactly what ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania believes will have in Tuesday's game.

"I'm keeping my eye on Jimmy Butler tonight to step up in a big way for the Warriors," Charania said on SportsCenter. "I expect him to build off his 20 plus point performance from last night."

Of course, Butler led the Warriors in their loss to the Nuggets on Monday as he recorded 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

With Curry now out of the lineup on Tuesday, they will need Butler to step up for them once again as he will be asked to do most of the team's scoring, which he has not had to do since arriving there at the trade deadline.

Whie that may be the case, Butler has played a major role in the Warriors' success since they acquired him from the Miami Heat and he will now have an opportunity to become the focal point on the offensive end against Milwaukee.

Even if Butler is able to step up in Tuesday's game, the rest of the roster will also have to produce around him for the Warriors to pick up another victory.

Fans can catch Tuesday's matchup between the Bucks and Warriors at 10:00 p.m. EST on NBA TV.
