Cowboys Fans Saddened After Cooper Rush’s Wife Sends Ravens Message

The Baltimore Ravens have officially signed new quarterback Cooper Rush.

After eight years with the Dallas Cowboys, the former Central Michigan star bid farewell to the team in the offseason after the front office decided against offering him a new deal. The Ravens took advantage of Dallas' decision by signing the 31-year-old QB to a two-year deal with a maximum value of $12.2 million.

This only meant that Rush had no choice but to relocate his entire family from Dallas all the way to Baltimore. The Ravens unveiled Rush on Tuesday during his contract signing, and his wife, Lauryn Rush, posted a photo on Instagram of the happy family with their new team.

"Year 9 in Baltimore " she wrote.

Ravens fans quickly flocked toward the post as they sent welcome messages to their new backup quarterback. Cowboys supporters also reacted to Lauryn Rush's Ravens message, and while they were generally happy to see their ex-QB find a new home, the Dallas faithful also could not help but be saddened by the same.

"As a lifelong Cowboys fan, I am insanely sad to see y'all leave. I wish yall nothing but love and success! Dallas will definitely miss you guys," a comment on Instagram read.

"Noooo" said another.

"NOOOOOOO COOOPERERRRRRR" reacted a user.

"I'm so sad as a Cowboys fan! Love Rush and your beautiful family. Wishing you every blessing in Baltimore!!!" a fan wrote.

"Sad as a Cowboys fan. But soooooo happy for you guys as a Cowboys fan!! And I only live 40 minutes from Baltimore!" another said.

"Dallas will miss him!" declared a Cowboys fan.

Even one of Rush's former teammates, wide receiver Jalen Brooks, also expressed his sadness with two emojis. "" he commented.

Rush is expected to back up two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson now that he's joined the Ravens. He played the same role in Dallas behind Dak Prescott, and it now remains to be seen if Rush will be able to get more opportunities on the field with his new team.
