The Golden State Warriors have decided to give Steph Curry the night off on Tuesday. The two-time NBA MVP is dealing with a back issue, and the fact that the Warriors are playing on the second night of a back-to-back set has led to the team opting to rest their superstar point guard against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.
Golden State head coach Steve Kerr spoke to the media before the game as he took the time to explain the decision to sit Curry out. According to the four-time NBA champion shot-caller, the 11-time All-Star point guard is "fine physically" but Curry is "emotionally tired" to the point that "it affects his decision-making."
"He put up a fight last night when I told him I wanted to give him the night off, but he understood," Kerr revealed. "... He's been turning it over [the] last couple of games. He's a little out of sorts."
Kerr, however, made it clear that this is nothing more than a one-game absence for Curry, announcing that the 10-time All-NBA point guard will be back in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Toronto Raptors.
"He just needs a night off once in a while," the coach continued. "... The last couple of games, I think the fatigue has shown.
"So, give it a night and he'll be right back out there Thursday."

As Kerr said in his message, he firmly believes that Curry has "earned" his night off on Tuesday. Golden State is coming off a five-game road trip where Curry led them to a 4-1 record.
Over that five-game stretch, the 37-year-old superstar averaged 34.8 points on 55.1% shooting, 4.6 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.2 steals, while also knocking down 6.4 triples per contest on a 51.6% clip.
The Curry-less Warriors enter Tuesday's game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. with a 39-29 record and the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference.
