LUIS Sinisterra was forced off against Brentford with an injury in the same muscle that kept him out for almost four months earlier this season.

The Colombian came off the bench after 67 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to the Bees but was then replaced himself 18 minutes later.

He has already missed a significant number of games with a hamstring injury he picked up after the victory over Arsenal in October, returning to the match day squad in February.

After the Brentford defeat, Andoni Iraola confirmed he was withdrawn through injury.

“I don't know if \[exactly\] the same or 3 centimetres higher or lower, but yes, same muscle,” Iraola said.

Sinisterra was due to join up with the Colombia squad in this international break, but the national team has confirmed that he will miss out through injury.

A statement said: “The coach, his staff, and the entire team wish Sinisterra a speedy recovery and return to action.”
