Huh graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and earned both his master's and doctoral degrees from the same institution. Over the past 20 years, he has gained recognition for his expertise in dermatologic surgery, both domestically and internationally.

He identified strengthening the international status of dermatologic surgery and expanding research and development of the latest treatment technologies as his primary goals for his term at the KSDS.

"Compared to overseas countries, Korea's cosmetic dermatologic surgery field has made rapid progress, but the field of oncologic dermatologic surgery was slower to get off to a good start. It is now one of the fastest-growing fields due to the introduction of advanced treatment technologies and active overseas exchanges," Huh said. "I will strive to create a practice environment where dermatologic surgeons can demonstrate their capabilities with pride, centered on the KSDS."

The KSDS, founded in 1995, is the only dermatologic surgery research society in Korea and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The society covers a wide range of specialties, including cosmetic dermatology (such as botulinum toxin, fillers, lasers, and scar treatment), as well as skin cancer treatment and surgery, including benign and malignant tumors of the skin.
