We round up the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours, with news from Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham, Newcastle and more.

Welcome to 3 Added Minutes’ daily round-up of the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours – and we’re going to jump right into it with a story from Portugal which suggests that both Manchester United and Manchester City are set to battle it out for the same player.

Sport Witness have reported on a story from A Bola which suggests that the local rivals are both “very attentive” to the performances of Sporting winger Francisco Trincão, who has scored eight goals in 26 league games this season and is “standing out” in the Primeira Liga.

The 25-year-old, who has previously turned out for Barcelona and Wolves, would “command a big fee”, according to the article, which they believe suggests that we’re looking at a “hype effort” rather than anything more concrete – but Trincão does have connections to both clubs through his former manager Ruben Amorim and former sporting director Hugo Viana, now in charge of transfers at the Etihad.

The 3AM Verdict: Without having a clear valuation it’s hard to know whether this is just a club hoping to inflate their player’s value or a realistic deal that might be made, but Trincão does seem like he isn’t quite up to the standards required to compete at the very top end of the Premier League, at least as a starter – if he’s a reasonably-priced rotational option, then perhaps there’s a conversation to be had.

Three clubs keen on former ‘bad boy’

Moise Kean may not quite have lived up to his early potential at Everton – but his much-improved performances at Fiorentina this season, where he has scored 20 goals in just 34 games, have attracted Premier League attention, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.

The now 25-year-old striker, who we are told has “finally shaken off his reputation as a bad boy”, is drawing interest from Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle, with all three clubs alleged to have “established first contacts” ahead of a possible deal. Kean seemingly has a €52m (£44m) release clause in his contract with Fiorentina, who paid just €18m (£15m) for him last summer.

The 3AM Verdict: Kean is finally living up to all the early hype in Serie A, so why shouldn’t he be given another shot at the Premier League? All three clubs mention may need a striker next summer, although we think the odds that Newcastle sell Alexander Isak are diminishing by the minute. The price is high for his past, but not for the way he’s played this year.

Four clubs named as Bellingham suitors

To round things off today, we’ll circle all the way back around to Manchester United – they’re one of four clubs named by TeamTalk as being the clubs most interested in Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham this summer.

We’re going to hear a lot about the younger Bellingham over the coming months and United’s name comes up as often as any other team’s, but the specific list of potential rivals is different to a lot of reporting we’ve seen: Brighton, Brentford and Nottingham Forest.

Bellingham would apparently be “keen” to play in the Premier League (shock horror) and all four clubs could supposedly make a move if Sunderland fail to earn promotion, which would likely come via the play-offs. Once again, there’s no mention of a price tag, which has been conspicuously absent from reporting surrounding Bellingham so far.

The 3AM Verdict: We’ve seen almost every club linked with Bellingham v2.0 at this point, but Manchester United do need some fresh blood in midfield so this isn’t such a far-fetched story. If Sunderland go up, we expect him to stay. If they don’t, anticipate a bidding war.
