Israeli Occupation Resumes Genocide, Wipes out Entire Families

**DaysofPal-** Entire families in Gaza have been wiped out as the Israeli occupation launched a new wave of airstrikes on residential areas, killing at least 420 people and injuring 562.

The strikes shattered a fragile ceasefire with Hamas and disrupted the relative calm that had prevailed during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Israeli occupation forces issued evacuation orders amid the deadly attacks, but many Palestinians who had returned to their damaged homes after the ceasefire found themselves caught in the crossfire. Entire families were killed in seconds as bombs rained down.

Momen Qoreiqeh, who lost 26 family members in the strikes, described the horror: “We were shocked late at night by the intensity of the attacks, which felt like the early days of the war. I was with my family when a massive strike hit our residential block, killing so many. Some of them are still buried under the rubble.”

Hospitals across Gaza are overwhelmed with casualties, creating scenes of chaos and despair. Ahmed Abu Rizq, a teacher, recounted the panic: “We woke up terrified, hearing explosions everywhere. If you visit any hospital now, you’ll see blood everywhere. Families are arriving with the remains of their children.”

Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Gaza City, described how Israeli strikes have turned the territory into a “killing zone.” Al-Ahli Hospital is inundated with victims, including entire families killed together—women, children, and the elderly. One grieving mother cried over the bodies of her two daughters, while others remained trapped under rubble.

Muhammad Abu Salmiya, director of al-Shifa Hospital, warned that every minute counts for the wounded, as shortages of medical resources lead to preventable deaths. Reporting from central Gaza, Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary highlighted severe scarcity of blood, fuel, and basic supplies like gauze and painkillers. Aid trucks, blocked by Israeli occupation for over two weeks, have exacerbated the crisis.

“Doctors are saying this is an enormous challenge,” Khoudary said. “The lack of fuel also risks shutting down medical facilities entirely.”

With no safe place left in Gaza, Palestinians face desperation and fear as they search for missing loved ones. Many had hoped to spend the final days of Ramadan in peace, but instead, they are mourning and struggling to survive.
