Lewandowski makes confession about Barcelona rondos

Robert Lewandowski has admitted Barcelona’s style of play took some getting used to when [he first arrived in Catalunya](https://eu-app.contentstack.com/#!/stack/bltcc7a7ffd2fbf71f5/content-type/slide_list/en/entry/blt2cf9da0fbff7b686/edit).

The striker joined Barcelona after winning titles in the Bundesliga with Dortmund and Bayern but was still taken aback by the team’s rondos in training.

> “We know that Barcelona has its own style. I always wondered why they played with so many passes, and why so short,” he told the club’s media.

>

> “The speed of the rondos in the first training sessions was something that surprised me. I had to adapt because they wanted the players to be very close to each other.”

Lewandowski also spoke about La Liga and feels the Spanish top flight has become far more physical in recent years.

> “I expected to find a more technical league, but after a few games, even a few months, I realized it couldn’t be compared to years past,” he added.

>

> “Now there are many teams that play very defensively, that try to commit fouls, disrupt players, and that attacking style of play has disappeared a bit.

>

> “Before, a lot of goals were scored, not just by the big teams, but in general. I’ve noticed that LaLiga has become more physical.”

Despite that, Lewandowski still tops the scoring charts and is hoping to pick up his second Pichichi award this season.

He’s also hoping for more trophies, particularly another European Cup to add to his collection.

> “You know I always want to win everything. It’s better to take it game by game. See where we are and fight. I hope we can win the Copa del Rey, which I haven’t won yet.

>

> “Winning the Champions League is always a dream and it would be very special to do it with this club, but there’s still a long way to go in the season, almost three months. On an individual level, I want to score as many goals as possible.”
