Leeds United have confirmed the first fixture of this summer’s pre-season with a high-profile game against Manchester United. The match in Stockholm forms part of the Whites’ pre-season plans for the 2025/26 campaign, with the hope being the clash will be the first of at least three games between the two rivals next season following promotion to the Premier League.
The old foes will meet once again on Saturday July 19, with the match taking place at the Strawberry Arena in Stockholm, the national stadium of Sweden. The trip, which could include further games and be part of a pre-season camp, will see Leeds return to Scandinavia after successful tours to Norway in 2015 and 2023.
Leeds will announce further pre-season games and venues in due course, but given the magnitude of this fixture and the expected demand for tickets, an early announcement has been made with tickets on sale now to season to Leeds United season ticket holders and members. Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, March 21.
Leeds United chief operating officer Morrie Eisenberg said: “We are delighted to announce this pre-season fixture with Manchester United and as a club, we again look forward to playing in Scandinavia.
“We know the great support we have in Scandinavia, with many supporters regularly travelling to England to see Leeds United play and LUSCOS (Leeds United Supporters Club of Scandinavia) have over 8,000 Members alone, so it will be a great occasion in July.”
