SINGAPORE - A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a tipper truck appeared to have spilled gravel over a stretch of the CTE on March 18.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they responded to the incident on the highway towards AYE near the Jalan Bukit Merah exit at around 8.30pm.
The 24-year-old woman was believed to have skidded on her motorbike, said police.
At the scene, motorists honked and flashed their hazard lights to warn others of the debris scattered across three lanes, according to dashcam footage posted online.
Videos show one motorbike on its side in the middle of the expressway, and another skidding a few metres away, throwing its rider onto the ground.
A tipper truck loaded with what looks like gravel is seen parked on the road shoulder farther down the road with its hazard lights switched on.
SCDF said one person was taken to Singapore General Hospital, while another, assessed for minor injury, declined to be taken there.
Police said investigations are under way.
In a separate incident on March 19, a tipper truck driver was taken to hospital after the large vehicle skidded at Tanah Merah Coast Road towards Xilin Avenue.
The 32-year-old man was conscious, said police.
In the aftermath, caught on dashcam, the tipper truck can be seen on its side by the road divider, with its load of what appears to be soil spread across a few lanes.
Police were alerted to the accident at about 4.35am and a probe is under way, they added.
