The FA reportedly has no plans to reprimand Rasmus Hojlund for his intense goal celebration, which the Manchester United striker revived during a match against Leicester. The 22 year old Danish player brought back his signature celebration on Sunday for the first time in 2025, after scoring the opening goal in United's 3-0 victory.
Hojlund's coolly executed goal ended a 22-hour goalless streak, and he didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate. As first seen in the November win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League, Hojlund ran towards the United fans at Leicester, giving them a thumbs up before swiftly turning it into a thumbs down.

He then performed a throat-slitting gesture, inspired by the Gladiator film series, whose sequel was released last year. According to the Mail, FA officials have adopted a lenient stance on the celebration, which made a comeback after 99 days, and they won't be instructing Hojlund to cease.
After breaking his goal drought, the young player is keen to bring out the celebration again following the international break. Hojlund shared his relief after ending his barren run on Sunday, saying: "Yeah, of course. I'm happy, but it's not all about goals.
"I'm obviously very happy to get my goal and it gives me a lot of confidence. "I think it comes down to my performances as well.
"I think obviously I've not been on top of my game as I wanted to, and we're still adapting to a new system and some new positions. "But I think I've been growing into it lately and starting to look a bit better.
"But again, yeah, just happy to get on a scoresheet today and I'm sure they will come more now." Hojlund also discussed Amorim's expectations of him in front of goal and in the build-up to attacking opportunities.
"I see it as a good step on the way, but I just want to keep improving and keep being better," Hojlund added. "I know I'm not the finished article, but I just want to keep going and keep becoming even better and I'm sure I'll get even better and score even more goals if I just focus on that.
"(Amorim) wants me to stretch the pitch, I think that's quite obvious and get me into the channels and keep keeping the centre-backs occupied. "That's what I'm trying to do.
"I think I've got a good amount of speed and yeah, that's what I'm here for."
