Arsenal Star Set To Be Offered Mammoth£323K A Week Contract To Tempt Him Into Leaving The Emirates This Summer

Al-Nassr are expected to offer Arsenal defender Gabriel a contract worth €20m a season (£323,000 a week), according to reports.

The Brazilian is said to be open to moving to Saudi Arabia at some stage of his career and GiveMeSport claim that Al-Nassr will try to tempt him into moving this summer.

Gabriel is closing in on the final two years of his current deal at the Emirates, and a decision will need to be made about his future pretty soon.

The Gunners’ preference is to keep the centre-back and offer him an extension. However, a lot will depend on the player.

Arsenal will make it difficult for Al-Nassr

Even if the Saudi Pro League side do agree personal terms with Gabriel, though, they will not be able to get him on the cheap.

GiveMeSport report that Mikel Arteta’s side would want at least €100m (£84m) for the 27-year-old if they were to let him go at the end of the season.

It could be a summer of change at the club

Gabriel is not the only player with an uncertain future. Jorginho and Thomas Partey are out of contract in June and, as things stand, both players will leave on a free transfer. Kieran Tierney has already signed a pre-contract agreement to return to Celtic

Jakub Kiwior could be offloaded for the right price, while contract talks will need to be held with the likes of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba who are rapidly closing in on the final two years of their current deals.

It is believed that negotiations with the former are set to take place over the coming weeks as the Gunners look to keep their best players. It remains to be seen whether Gabriel will also commit to staying at the Emirates.
