Good morning Gang Green Nation! The latest free agent to visit the Jets is receiver/gadget dude Rondale Moore. Moore is a receiver with a slight build who has great speed, lateral quickness, leaping ability and explosiveness, but he has had limited success at the NFL level. He is coming off a serious knee injury suffered in training camp last year which led to him missing the entire 2024 NFL season. This was just one in a series of injury problems for Moore. He missed most of the 2019 college season and half of the 2022 NFL season with injuries. At this point it is fair to wonder how much the injuries have affected his speed, quickness and explosiveness. A guy like this would ordinarily be considered taking a flyer, and you wouldn’t count on him being a top contributor. However, with the Jets’ cupboard absolutely empty behind Garrett Wilson at wide receiver, Moore, if signed and healthy, could become the second best receiver on the team.
