NFL power rankings after free agency: Where do all 32 teams stand? | USA Today
5. Kansas City Chiefs (2): They found a way to keep RG Trey Smith, LB Nick Bolton, WR Hollywood Brown and RB Kareem Hunt and should get WR Rashee Rice back (for most of) next season. But some key players also departed, namely All-Pro G Joe Thuney, and the left side of an O-line that utterly collapsed in the Super Bowl loss currently seems as suspect as ever.
Ranking AFC teams after first wave of NFL free agency: Chiefs lead way, Broncos improve after key additions | CBS Sports
1. Kansas City Chiefs
Key additions: LT Jaylon Moore, CB Kristian Fulton, RB Elijah Mitchell
Key losses: DT Tershawn Wharton, S Justin Reid, WR DeAndre Hopkins, OLB Josh Uche, OG Joe Thuney
Brett Veach quickly targeted Moore to serve as Patrick Mahomes’ new left tackle, then Fulton and Mitchell could be important, underrated contributors if they can stay healthy. The Chiefs have had a solid offseason since they found a way to keep Trey Smith and Nick Bolton. There’s still some work to be done, but the Chiefs have made the Super Bowl three years in a row, and I’m not ready to take them off the No. 1 spot in the AFC.
Former Chiefs OT explains why Chiefs waiting to pay Trent McDuffie is the right move | Arrowhead Addict
Former Chiefs offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz is telling fans to chill out when it comes to this topic. When responding to Joshua Brisco’s concern for the McDuffie contract situation on X, Schwartz didn’t hold back.
“And they’ll have saved over $40m by then. I don’t get why so many Chiefs fans are up in arms about this. You think the team wants to spend more money on a guy by waiting? Both sides have to agree to a deal. And if you don’t he continues playing for a relative pittance on his rookie deal. For a team that’s managed the cap, draft, and on field performance as good as anyone since Pat’s deal I’m not sure why there’s so much negativity over someone else signing. Been seeing it a bunch so not singling Joshua out here.”

31 -Kansas City Chiefs
Josh Simmons
Ohio State · OT · Junior (RS)
I know the Chiefs signed Jaylon Moore in free agency, but I’m not so sure Simmons won’t ultimately be the better option for them at left tackle. Regardless, building quality depth up front would seem like a wise move based on the issues they dealt with last season.

Brandon Graham officially announces his retirement | Bleeding Green Nation
Graham, who leads the Eagles in all-, has given everything to this team and the city, and deserves to retire the legend that he is. From the infamous strip sack against Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52, to being the league’s most notorious shit-talker, BG has oozed energy since the day he came to Philly. He had to overcome some challenges his first few seasons, but became the captain of the defense and was a huge reason for their success over the past decade.
Graham will undoubtedly end up in the Eagles Hall of Fame, and will wrap up his 15-year career with 487 total tackles, 76.5 regular season sacks, plus 5.5 postseason sacks, and nine all-time forced fumbles.
After missing nearly half of the 2024 NFL season, Graham’s future seemed uncertain — no one wanted his farewell tour to come to an end due to injury —, but thankfully he was able to come back and contribute to the team’s Super Bowl win, giving him the most fairytale ending he deserves.
Source - Bills LB Matt Milano reworks deal, takes pay cut | ESPN
Milano took a pay cut of over $3 million, which can be made back with incentives, and also will now be able to become a free agent in 2026, the source said.
The linebacker was previously scheduled to become a free agent in 2027 after he signed a two-year contract extension in 2023 to keep him with the team through the 2026 season. Now, he can become a free agent after the 2025 season.
Heyward on Rodgers - Either you want to be a Steeler or you don’t | ESPN
The longtime Pittsburgh Steelers defensive captain said on his “Not Just Football” podcast Tuesday that he’s not going to great lengths to recruit the four-time MVP to sign with the Steelers.
“I ain’t doing that darkness retreat,” Heyward said, responding to a question from co-host Hayden Walsh on whether he’d go into the dark with Rodgers to land the quarterback’s services. “I don’t need any of that crap. Either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don’t. It’s that simple. That’s the pitch. If you want me to recruit, that’s the recruiting pitch. Pittsburgh Steelers. If you want to be part of it, so be it. If you don’t, no skin off my back.”

Chiefs Free Agency: Justin Reid nearly signed with Eagles
On Monday’s episode of the “Up and Adams Show” on FanDuel Sports Network, Reid told host Kay Adams that he nearly repeated this history by joining the Philadelphia Eagles during this free agency — despite their humiliating 40-22 win over Kansas City in Super Bowl LIX.
“Pretty close, actually,” he confirmed of his talks to join the Eagles. “Me and the defensive backs coach there have a really good relationship. The defensive system is the same system I ran at Stanford. That whole Vic Fangio system — I know it pretty well. The conversations were pretty intense. The only drawback is they were so limited in cap space that we couldn’t make a deal that made sense. But the conversation was happening.”
Ultimately, Reid signed with the New Orleans Saints on March 11. He held out hope of rejoining the Chiefs — and staying with defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and defensive backs coach Dave Merritt — even as the new league year unfolded.
“They were in the conversation too,” he said of Kansas City. “I was also texting coach Spags and Coach Merritt the whole time along the process to see if something could be worked out. The only constant thing in this business is change. That’s the only thing that’s ever the same year to year is that things are always changing. I don’t think it was from a lack of ‘want to’ on either side but rather just a product of the situation and what salary cap space was available and what moves were the emphasis of the offseason to go out and make.”
