Raphinha has been linked with a return to England in recent days. A cult hero at Leeds United, there are suggestions the Brazilian is now wanted at Manchester United who are plotting a £59m move for the winger in the summer. Fabrizio Romano has provided his own information on the brewing transfer saga ahead of the next transfer window.
The Brazilian is a much-loved former player at Leeds and he has also indicated that his time at Elland Road remains special for him.

Chelsea had a deal in place to sign him from Leeds in 2022 but he waited for weeks to ensure that Barcelona could put together a deal to sign the winger that summer.
However, he is now being linked with a move away from Barcelona ahead of the next window and to the horror of Leeds fans, Manchester United are the ones who are believed to be interested in getting their hands on him.
Leeds fans would hate to see the Brazilian at Old Trafford and he would burn his bridges with the Whites if he joined the Red Devils in the summer.
Fabrizio Romano provides his update on Raphinha
Raphinha has been one of the best attacking players at Barcelona this season and it is no surprise that he is wanted at several big clubs across Europe.
Manchester United are expected to carry out a rebuilding process and it is no surprise that they are being linked with a move for the former Leeds star.
However, Romano indicated that even if Manchester United are interested in him, the club have done little to suggest they are preparing to sign him next summer.
The Italian journalist insisted that there has been no contact between Manchester United and Raphinha’s camp over a potential summer move to Old Trafford.
“I’ve zero indications from my sources about contacts, talks, calls, anything to link Raphinha with Man United”, he wrote on GiveMeSport.
“Zero.”
Why would he join Manchester United? Makes zero sense
The reason Raphinha joined Barcelona over Chelsea was because the Camp Nou was his dream destination and he was willing to wait to make the move happen.
He is one of the most important players in the squad and his performances this season have taken the team to another level in the ongoing campaign.
Barcelona’s financial situation means a big offer could compel them to sell him but Raphinha would still have to agree to a move and Manchester United are no longer the dream destination for players.
Can you name these 10 former Leeds United players?
They are a team who are no longer guaranteed to play Champions League football and have not competed for the Premier League in more than a decade.
They are 13th in the league table and are facing a massive rebuild under Ruben Amorim in the next couple of seasons at least.
Raphinha is 28 and if he leaves Barcelona, he would want to join a club that would be competing for trophies immediately and that is not Manchester United.
