Leeds United will take on Manchester United in July in a pre-season friendly, taking place in Stockholm, Sweden, the club have confirmed.
The Whites are looking to get back into the Premier League and reinstate their position as one of the bigger clubs in the country with top flight consolidation.
They will be renewing their rivalries with multiple clubs in the process, no more so than Manchester United, and might fancy their chances of a big scalp if they are promoted, given the Red Devils’ current plight.

Ticket information for Leeds United v Man Utd in July
(Photo by Sebastian Frej/MB Media/Getty Images)
For those who are looking to either head out to Sweden or are already in the area, Leeds have already shared that tickets are going to go on sale this week.
Season ticket holders and members should already have received an email regarding how to book tickets, with the club putting them on sale from Friday 21st March.
Tickets are priced from 525 SEK (£40) and sections for Leeds United supporters are blocks 115–126.
Revenue benefits obvious for big pre-season clash between Leeds and Man Utd
If Leeds are promoted, the revenue that could come from a Premier League matchup played abroad is huge and you can see why the 49ers have arranged this again.
It’s odd to play an arch rival in a ‘friendly’ game, and fans are right to question our willingness to have ties with Man United in any capacity.
That being said, the 49ers clearly have seen this as something of a real benefit to Leeds in the off season, especially as it could hopefully be a benchmark against a mid-table side that we’d look to compete against, should we be in the same league next season.
