Tottenham told they could sign striker target for a bargain £25 million

Tottenham Hotspur may have been handed a golden opportunity to bolster their attacking options this summer, with Juventus reportedly willing to part ways with Dusan Vlahovic for a bargain fee. However, competition for his signature could complicate matters for Spurs.

Tottenham’s inconsistency this season has been down to several factors, but injuries and a lack of squad depth in key areas stand out the most.

This has been evident in the club’s forward line, with Spurs having to rely on Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as their recognised strikers.

While Solanke has stepped up with 33 appearances, netting 11 goals and providing eight assists, Richarlison’s injury struggles have left Tottenham Hotspur short in attack.

His absence has had a clear impact on the team’s performances, exposing the need for reinforcements as the club looks to strengthen in the summer transfer window.

Dusan Vlahovic is one name that has been thrown in the mix as a potential summer signing for Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks. Reports over recent days have claimed that Tottenham have emerged as frontrunners to sign Vlahovic.

Respected transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also hinted that a move to Spurs is a possibility for Vlahovic who has struggled at Turin.

Tottenham eyeing Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic

Fresh reports from Football Insider, have now revealed that Tottenham could secure the signing of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, for a “bargain fee” of £25 million this summer.

The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his contract, and with no agreement in place for a renewal, Juventus are prepared to cash in rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next year. This has opened the door for potential suitors, with Spurs among those considering a move.

However, Tottenham are not the only club in the race. North London rivals Arsenal, long-time admirers of Vlahovic, are also said to be keen on securing his services.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa and Newcastle United have been linked with the Serbian forward, with both clubs looking to add firepower to their respective squads

Champions League could be key to Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit

While Spurs will be eager to snap up a proven goalscorer at a cut-price fee, their chances of landing Vlahovic may hinge on securing a spot in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Football Insider reports that the lack of top-tier European football could weaken their position in negotiations.

As things stand, Tottenham are 13th in the Premier League table, meaning their most realistic route to European football is by winning the Europa League.

With the international break now in play, Spurs will return to Europa League action shortly after, hosting Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their quarter-final clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

For Ange Postecoglou’s side, progression in Europe could be the key to securing the type of signings needed to compete at the highest level next season.
