Colts strengthen defensive line depth with DT Neville Gallimore

Neville Gallimore wants to do two things in 2025: compete and contribute.

As the Colts' newest defensive tackle, he's in a good position to do both.

The fifth-year veteran free agent signed with the Colts on Monday, boosting a defensive line led by DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart. Gallimore, at 6-foot-2 and 315 pounds, fits in with his fellow defensive tackles in size and stature alone – but it's his competitive mindset that truly cements that he's in the right place.

"I'm just happy for the opportunity that I got to be a part of something special," Gallimore said. "I feel like Indianapolis is a great place, there's a great coaching staff and they got guys that want to win. And I felt like this would be a great fit for me to contribute and obviously make an impact as well."

Over 66 games (18 starts) with the Dallas Cowboys (2020-23) and the Los Angeles Rams, Gallimore has four sacks, 109 tackles, 10 quarterback hits and 11 tackles for a loss. The former third-round pick made a splash in the 2024 playoffs with the Rams, with a total of 2.5 tackles against the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles. Now, Gallimore wants to bring his versatility and playoff experience to the Colts.

"You do what's asked of you, and sometimes you've got to be a jack of all trades," Gallimore said. "And I feel like what I brought in the playoffs, I'm looking to expand on that, to bring that coming out through the start of the season and to carry it forward. I was given an opportunity to contribute and make impactful plays, and that's what I'm looking forward to doing here."
