Former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Mecole Hardman has enjoyed great NFL success playing with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Now he will get the chance to catch passes from a young star at the position.
Hardman was a free agent following the end of his second spell with the Kansas City Chiefs, the former second-round pick having won three Super Bowls while playing with Patrick Mahomes.
Having had one very brief spell playing for another team, his time with the New York Jets in 2023 lasting all of seven months, Hardman will be hoping he can add a fourth Lombardi Trophy to his resume after making the move to the NFC for the first time.
Hardman, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, is signing a one-year deal with the Green Bay Packers.
It is a move that gives Hardman the chance to play for another Super Bowl contender following a 2024 season that ended with the Chiefs suffering a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.
And he will surely be excited at the opportunity to play with Jordan Love, the quarterback the Packers signed to a four-year, $220 million contract last July.

Hardman may have a hard time gaining significant offensive snaps given Green Bay's depth at wideout, with their talented young receiving corps featuring Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks.
But Hardman also brings return game upside, and Packers head coach Matt LaFleur will surely have taken note of how the Chiefs used him in motion on short passes and designed runs aimed at getting the former Bulldog the ball in space.
Hardman caught the winning touchdown in overtime in Super Bowl LVIII. After saying farewell to the Chiefs, he'll have designs on making a similarly crucial impact for the Packers.
