'We have spoken': Noni Madueke's personal coach shares the former Chelsea player he is working on being like

Chelsea fans will be hoping that the best is yet to come from Noni Madueke at Stamford Bridge.

Noni Madueke, who joined Chelsea in the 2023 January window, has shown moments of real brilliance for them. We’re still waiting for him to find some consistency in his game, though.

On his day, the 23-year-old right-winger is capable of tormenting opposition full-backs with great trickery and pace.

Noni Madueke’s Chelsea career

Unfortunately, Madueke hasn’t played since mid-February because of a hamstring problem. We’d argue that the Blues have missed his him as an option on the wing, too.

Madueke was spotted on the training pitches a week ago, so fingers crossed he can return to action after March’s international break.

Noni Madueke’s personal trainer says the Chelsea winger is trying to emulate Mohamed Salah

Personal football coach Saul Isaksson-Hurst, who’s worked with Madueke for several years, has shared that the Chelsea attacker is training hard to try improve his tally of goals and assists.

Interestingly, the duo have discussed Liverpool superstar and former Blues winger Mohamed Salah for a bit of inspiriation.

Isaksson-Hurst told Football.London: “Noni and I have been working together for over four years now… Noni is always going to be measured on goals and assists. So this is always at the core of our work… So, obviously movement, work around dominating the one-v-one duel work and end product. [Also] crosses, forward passes and his shooting…

“We have spoken about Salah. The guy at the moment is the level in world football. It’s important to not only give players like this respect but to also try and identify why they’re so successful. Maintaining his stats consistently is world-class.

“You have to recognise, though, Noni is further along on his journey than Salah was at the same age. Saying that, Noni knows that if he continues to work hard then he could and should be recognised as one of the world’s best down the line.”

For any current winger, Salah is the benchmark to try reach in the modern game. The 32-year-old right-winger has achieved incredible things in Liverpool colours.

Jose Mourinho previously explained that Salah wanted to leave Chelsea to go and play regularly elsewhere. In fairness, his decision was vindicated because of the stellar career he’s gone on and enjoyed.

Blues supporters will forever have to deal with the fact that both Salah and Kevin De Bruyne, two Premier League icons, slipped through their fingers. John Terry regrets that Salah and De Bruyne left Chelsea because he wishes he helped them settle more in West London.

Noni Madueke taking small steps in the right direction

Of course, Madueke has got miles to go to reach anywhere near Salah’s level. But the Chelsea wide man is young, hungry and super talented.

In fairness, there are small signs this season that his end product is improving.

Madueke’s aim should be to hit double figures in goals and assists each campaign, which is a given for the world’s elite forwards right now.

The left-footed Englishman definitely does bring an extra quality to the Chelsea frontline, something highlighted during his recent absence. We’re still hopeful that everything will click into gear for him at some stage.
