Murillo sends yet another message to £25m forward amid Nottingham Forest links

Nottingham Forest star Murillo is viewed by many as one of Europe’s top talents when it comes to defenders.

Forest parted with £10.6 million to land the centre-back from Corinthians and his game has gone to a new level in the Premier League.

Murillo was courted by Manchester City before Forest decided to sign him and since making his debut in October 2023, he hasn’t looked back.

Steve Cooper had some harsh words for Murillo when he first signed but he’s learned, adapted and is now one of the Premier League’s most sought-after.

Murillo is very important to Forest and now there is a genuine notion that he might play a big part in one of the club’s signings in the summer.

Murillo sends another message to Nottingham Forest target

Corinthians are a club that Forest quite clearly monitor regularly with Carlos Miguel joining from the outfit as well as Murillo.

Previously, Forest have been linked with Yuri Alberto in a deal worth £25 million and it would appear he’s very close to Murillo.

Murillo has posted a message of the pair enjoying a warm embrace on Instagram with the caption: “Long life Yuri, may God bless you greatly, I love you brother.”

It’s not clear what context this message has from Murillo but if the chance comes for him to join the defender at Forest in the summer, perhaps he will jump at the opportunity.

Alberto is a born goalscorer. He’s scored seven goals so far this season and last time out he bagged 31 goals for Corinthians from his 57 outings.

Murillo stats 2024/25

The defender has already been linked with a move away from the City Ground and perhaps Champions League football is needed to keep him around.

Although Murillo has just signed a new Forest contract, the consensus is that the club will still receive offers from suitors this summer.

The Reds need to ensure that the best players stick around if Champions League football is secured and Murillo definitely falls into that category.

It’s been amazing to watch the Forest performer grow at the City Ground and hopefully, the club can reunite him with goal machine Alberto in the summer.
