Arsenal are plotting a big-money summer move for Brazilian star. The player recently guided his current club to the major title after long wait of 70 years.
The star in question is none other than Bruno Guimaraes. The Brazilian joined Newcastle United in January 2022 and is now their club captain. He has recently helped the Magpies to win a major title after 70 long years.
Guimaraes can play as both central and holding midfielder. He has so far played 144 games for Newcastle and has registered 20 goals along with 24 assists. Guimaraes is loved by Newcastle fans and he too loves the club in similar fashion. He called the city his second home after their Carabao cup victory.
Newcastle have no plans to part ways with Guimaraes anytime soon. But, it may prove tricky for them to hold him if they fail to qualify for UCL. As of now, they are on 6th position in Premier League but can move at 4th if they manage to win their game in hand.

Despite showing interest, it will prove very hard for Arsenal to sign Guimaraes. He had £100 million release clause in his contract but that has now expires. Hence, the Magpies will demand way higher than that amount from any interested club.
Arsenal’s transfer activity is expected to speed-up after the arrival of Andrea Berta. It will be interesting to see how the Italian views Guimaraes. Zubimendi still remains the top target and he can cost £51 million to the North London club.
