Odegaard picks Man City player in ultimate 5-a-side team, chooses two Arsenal stars, but not…

Arsenal star Martin Odegaard is clearly a very big fan of one Manchester City player in particular.

Martin Odegaard has captained his Arsenal team to back-to-back second place finishes in the Premier League table over the last two years.

Manchester City have been too strong for Arsenal, but this season the Gunners are well ahead of Pep Guardiola‘s side in the table.

Liverpool will most likely run away with the league title this season, but City and Arsenal will surely resume their great rivalry once again next term.

The two clubs will face off in the summer as well, in the race to sign Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan.

Martin Odegaard picks Erling Haaland in 5-a-side team, snubs Bukayo Saka

The fact that Odegaard opted for Erling Haaland as one of his players in his ultimate 5-a-side team is no surprise.

However, the 26-year-old snubbing his Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka really was quite something.

Odegaard and Saka have forged a wonderful relationship both on and off the pitch, and there will be Arsenal fans genuinely shocked at the England international’s omission from the Norwegian’s best 5-a-side team.

The Arsenal star’s team can be seen via TNT Sport’s TikTok account. The team selected by Odegaard was as follows:

David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes, Isco, Ronaldo and Erling Haaland.

Saka may well have some awkward questions for Odegaard when the two next speak!

Erling Haaland breaks Alan Shearer’s record

Robbie Savage suggested this week that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is still the best in the business.

And it’s hard to argue that, given his incredible goal record – 254 in 320 games is quite some going.

On Saturday, his strike against Brighton was his 100th goal contribution in the Premier League.

It took him just 94 games to reach that landmark – six fewer than it took the previous record holder – Alan Shearer.

Now Haaland will have another of Shearer’s records in his sights – the leading Premier League goalscorer of all-time.

And who would bet against him shattering Shearer’s record within the next decade?
