Microsoft is set to improve Windows 11 with a new feature to inform users about the hardware requirements for the operating system. This upcoming change was discovered by @phantomofearth in the latest Dev build of Windows 11.

The update has an improved "About" section in the Settings app, which will give users detailed explanations about their PC's hardware and its impact on performance. This new section will include a FAQ area to answer common questions about the Windows version, GPU capabilities, and RAM capacity.

My guess is that the answers in the FAQ will be customized based on the user's specific hardware configuration, likely with the help of Copilot, i.e. AI. For instance, users with integrated graphics will receive insights on the absence of a discrete GPU, and those with less than 4GB of RAM will learn about its limitations.

This feature is currently hidden, but you can find it using ViveTool. To enable these hidden features, you need to download and extract ViveTool. Then, open Command Prompt as an administrator, go to the ViveTool folder, and use a specific command with the feature ID, as reported by Window Report.

Microsoft has not officially confirmed this, but based on its presence in the Dev Channel builds, it seems likely that it will be available to all Windows 11 users in the coming months.
