Chelsea are not messing around. The Premier League club is reportedly ready to fork out a mindboggling €180m to persuade Real Madrid’s young charge Rodrygo and Endrick, with €100m for the former, who is an integral part of Madrid’s attack, while €80m is reserved for the teenage wonder kid Endrick.
But if Chelsea’s spending spree in their recent seasons seemed wild, prepare for the boldest move yet. The Blues are willing to splash the cash to try and claw their way back to Europe’s elite. The catch is, Real Madrid aren’t too willing to sell these two, as I am to give up coffee on a Monday morning.
Rodrygo: Chelsea’s Dream, Madrid’s Reality
As well as being a fast winger, Rodrygo is a gamechanger. He’s also since arrived at Real Madrid and delivered in big moments, scored the crucial goals, and has grown into a player Carlo Ancelotti trusts in the tightest of situations.
Chelsea’s interest makes perfect sense; who wouldn’t want a player that is able to play ghost past defenders with the speed of a kid running late for school? The rub, however, is Madrid don’t actually give up their stars, and Kylian Mbappe is reportedly on his way. A Rodrygo-Mbappe partnership? It’s the dream of defenders to come up against him.
Endrick: The Future Superstar Blues Crave
I’d like to talk about Endrick, a player so hyped Chelsea is already having a red carpet ready for him. He has turned into the next big thing at only 18 years old. Chelsea, too, desires to play a part in that action, and with their youth-first approach, they’re certain to eventually take advantage of such opportunities.
Of course Madrid didn’t just invest in him to flip him off for profit. It would still be possible for a loan deal, but not a permanent transfer? Not happening. Madrid aren’t picking up that call, unless Chelsea offers something outrageous such as Stamford Bridge itself.
