Arsenal & Chelsea believe they can sign €80 million-rated star Ousmane Diomande, for just €50 million.
Ousmane Diomande to move for €50 million
Arsenal and Chelsea have set their eyes on Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande this summer, as per CaughtOffside. He is a rising talent from Ivory Coast. He has already caught the eye of several top clubs across Europe.
Currently, it is the Gunners and the Blues that have begun to show the most interest in him. The London clubs are said to believe that the €80 million clause in his contract is “way too much”. These two English sides’ are very much interested, according to sources close to the situation. Instead, the think is that the release clause may come down to somewhere around €50 million. Also with some potential bonuses and add-ons to Sporting.
However, CaughtOffside understands that Sporting is firm in its stance that the Ivorian centre-back will be sold at an €80 million price. They think the player will probably be in great demand by other big clubs across Europe in the summer.
Arsenal or Chelsea to fight for the player
The 21-years-old has a great future written in the stars. This summer could be vital for him. As there needs to be a change in his career. There’s no doubt there will be battle to get his signature. So it is up to the Gunners or the Blues or others to come forth with that offers.
He will surely have a great say with where he seemingly ends up. And it will be interesting to see which choice he makes-staying with the Gunners or heading toward the Bridge.
At the moment, the Arsenal project definitely looks appealing. Although, one might daresay that starting regularly might be much tougher to envisage at Mikel Arteta’s side. They also have William Saliba together with Gabriel Magalhaes in the central defense.
Diomande would probably play more at the west London side. Because Enzo Maresca looks like he needs an upgrade on people like Levi Colwill, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Benoit Badiashile. These players have been just a bit inconsistent. While Wesley Fofana has also been very injury-prone during his time in West London.
