With the pro-day circuit ramping up across the country, things appear to have quieted down for the Cleveland Browns over the last few days. The Browns may or may not know which direction they want to take at the top of the draft.
I would, however, expect them to have their plan finalized as early as the end of next week after Abdul Carter and Cam Ward test at their pro day. If Cleveland decides that Ward is the guy they ultimately want, they can attempt to move up one spot and execute a trade with the Tennessee Titans for the first pick.
It appears that would be an idea that the young quarterback prospect is open to after a recent post that Browns’ tight end David Njoku made to his Instagram account:
In the video, Ward walks into a room where Njoku was filming his entrance and proceeds to give him an excited “Cleveland” shoutout. Njoku also played in college at Miami and it’s more likely that the video was filmed there as Ward prepares for his pro day on Monday.
We have now seen multiple pieces of evidence that the consensus top QBs would be excited to land in Cleveland.
Does this video give you any hope that the Browns could land the presumptive best quarterback in the draft class? Let us know in the comments below.
