Summary
The EA Sports FC 25 Premier League TOTS is expected to be released on May 2nd.
Liverpool dominate the predictions with six players in the starting 11.
Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland are both included up front.
The 2024/25 Premier League season has been full of thrills and spills. From Liverpool looking on course to secure just their second-ever Premier League title to Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Bournemouth all impressing, you've never quite known what to expect.
Tottenham and Manchester United have found that out the hard way, with two of the world's biggest clubs struggling in the bottom half of the table. It's been a season like no other — and, as the season starts to draw to a close, Team of the Season (TOTS) in EA Sports FC 25 becomes prominent.
The promo celebrates the league's best-performing players from the season, giving them boosted cards that are all considered 'meta'. We have decided to try and predict the Premier League TOTS, which is expected to be released on Friday, May 2nd. We've outlined the main starting 11 and a selection of substitutes who may feature elsewhere.
Defenders
Liverpool dominate the backline
It comes as no surprise to hear that Liverpool dominate the Premier League TOTS. They are flying in Arne Slot's first season, despite losing the Carabao Cup final to Newcastle, and they have three players in the back third. While Alisson has missed eight matches through injury, there's no one better than him when he's playing.
The same can be said for teammates Trent-Alexander Arnold and Virgil van Dijk. Both are out of contract in the summer, with Alexander-Arnold heavily linked with a move to Madrid, but they have remained professional and committed at Anfield. It's made Liverpool one of the best sides in the league defensively.
They are joined by Arsenal's Gabriel at left-centre-back and Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez at left-back. William Saliba could have been picked instead of his teammate, Gabriel, but a red card away to Bournemouth and a few defensive vulnerabilities see him miss out. Gabriel has remained as world-class as ever, even acting as a goal-scoring threat from corners. Ironically, Kerkez is linked with a move to Liverpool after his superb run of performances.

Midfielders
Palmer joins two Liverpool stars
Joining the three Liverpool players in the defence are a further two Anfield midfielders. Their dominance this campaign has been superb, and utterly unexpected, with Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister going a level up this season compared to their previous performances.
They're quick, powerful and intelligent, looking to dictate the tempo of the match home and away. Very few seem to be able to lay a glove on them, with the duo playing a crucial role in a season that has felt like a dream for Slot and his coaching staff. Declan Rice, Bruno Guimaraes and maybe even Morgan Gibbs-White could have been selected instead of them, but the duo's likely Premier League trophy life sealed the deal.
Meanwhile, Cole Palmer acts as the attacking midfielder in the middle of the park. The Englishman, who scored in the Euro 2024 final, has not hit the heights of last season under Mauricio Pochettino, where he scored 22 and picked up 11 assists in 33 league matches. Enzo Maresca has struggled to fit him in seamlessly, but he's still managed to score 14 goals by the March international break. When he's clicking, there are very few better; the former Manchester City midfielder must make sure his temporary blip doesn't become permanent, though.

Attackers
It's a record-breaking attack this year
In the summer of 2024, Mohamed Salah was linked with a move away from Anfield. After a season of gradual decline, most thought the Egyptian would never hit the heights of his early days on Merseyside, but he proved everyone wrong. Under a new manager, Salah has taken everything in his stride, seemingly breaking record after record. As of the March international break, he has picked up 27 goals and 17 assists in 29 matches, so he is well on course to break the record for most goals — and also most assists — in a season.
Salah's world-class performances have meant Erling Haaland and Alexander Isak have gone under the radar. Haaland has always been considered a 'robot', defying logic with his endless stream of goals. That hasn't been the whole case this campaign, but he has still scored 21 league goals in 28 matches by the March international break. Isak, who is linked with a move to Arsenal, has scored just two fewer at 19.
There have been very few impressive left-wingers in the Premier League this season, so both Isak and Haaland, natural strikers, fit into the team. They have led by example and, between now and the end of the campaign, will be hoping they can guide their teams to Champions League qualification.

Substitutes
Saliba, Guimaraes and Wood all deserve their plaudits
The EA Sports FC 25 TOTS isn't just about the starting 11 though; there are also a plethora of players selected for the rest of the squad. In EAFC 25, there were four substitutes in the main release, alongside countless in SBCs and Objectives, whilst there have been more in years before. We have outlined 12, taking the total to 23, to try and include everyone worthy of a TOTS card.
Nottingham Forest have been the surprise package of the season as they look to secure an unlikely Champions League place. Matz Sels, Ola Aina, Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood are all worthy of a TOTS card, whether they finish in the top four or not.
Elsewhere, Newcastle's Lewis Hall and Guimaraes have impressed, whilst fellow players at 'non-big-six' sides such as Matheus Cunha, Justin Kluivert and Bryan Mbeumo can't be ignored. Not a single Man Utd or Spurs player has been included, but that's not fully surprising when both teams are stuck in the lower echelons of the table. We have outlined our full list of squad players below.
