Spanish press reports confirmed on Wednesday that Brazilian defender Eder Militao is close to returning to Real Madrid training.
According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," the player is making significant progress in his recovery and is expected to join the team's group training after the international break.
The newspaper added that "Militão's return to the field at this time was unexpected," noting the possibility of his participation in the Club World Cup, scheduled for next June.
The Brazilian defender sustained the injury during Real Madrid's 4-0 victory over Osasuna, a major blow to coach Carlo Ancelotti, who was forced to rely on young defender Raúl Asensio.
Militao has already begun light ball training and has shown significant improvement in his mobility, increasing the likelihood of his return to competitive action soon.
