March Madness is in full swing, and you don't need cable to watch NCAA tournament games this season. Paramount Plus -- where CBS content lives -- is streaming two dozen matchups in 2025, and if you're a student, you can subscribe for half the price. The platform is offering 50% off subscription plans for the first 12 months to new or returning students. That means the monthly price gets slashed from $8 to $4 for a basic subscription, while Paramount Plus with Showtime drops from $13 to $6.50 a month. Stream live sports, School Spirits, Tracker and much more.
Students can sign up now through April 8 to take advantage of the savings but you'll need to verify your student status via SheerID. You must be 18 or older to subscribe, and once the one-year promo period ends, the plan will renew at Paramount Plus' current price unless you cancel.
The streamer is home to originals such as Landman, 1923, Tulsa King, Evil, and Yellowjackets, but it's also where you can watch CBS content and shows from Nickelodeon (like SpongeBob), MTV and Comedy Central. Popular films from Paramount Pictures also land on the service, including Gladiator II and Sonic 3.
