Manchester United have sent scouts to monitor two of Bundesliga's best emerging strikers, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Red Devils are likely to recruit another centre-forward with the unconvincing performances of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
The duo have netted just six Premier League goals between them and manager Ruben Amorim may want a better solution for next season.
Plettenberg claims that the Red Devils are monitoring the progress of Hugo Ekitike at Eintracht Frankfurt. He has netted 19 goals this campaign.
The club are also tracking RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko. The 21-year-old has bagged 17 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga giants.
United are undecided over whom to sign and much could depend on their transfer budget which could only be decided at the end of the season.
The Red Devils must win the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League. In that case, they could easily afford one of the above duo.
Else, they may require high-profile exits to recoup funds first.
