Mohammed Kudus needs to turn his career around after a poor season at West Ham.

The Ghana international has done very little to impress this season despite being a key player for the Hammers since signing from Ajax.

Under Graham Potter, the 24-year-old’s struggles have continued and has hasn’t shown any sign of improvement in recent weeks.

Looking ahead to the summer transfer window, the versatile forward may be breathing a sigh of relief as a potential exit for one star looks possible.

Kudus set for West Ham stay if Luis Guilherme leaves

Despite not putting in many positive performances this season, the Ghanaian has continued to be a regular starter for the Irons.

Even with that lack of output, Potter has continued to back the attacking midfielder ahead of Guilherme on the flank.

The young Brazilian is yet to make a league start in claret and blue after signing from Palmerias for nearly £20million last summer.

Now it appears that the 19-year-old could be on his way out of East London as Flamengo, Shakhtar Donetsk and Galatasaray have shown an interest in his signature [Claret and Hugh, 19 March].

There is said to be “a lot” of clubs looking at Guilherme ahead of the window and that could prompt the Irons into cutting their losses.

If that is to be the case, it feels likely that Kudus will stay at the London Stadium as not to disrupt the squad so much under Potter.

Kudus needs to step up for West Ham

Unfortunately for Kudus, interest from the likes of Arsenal in him has fallen away after such a poor season in terms of output.

If this was seen as a dream move for the ex-Nordsjaelland ace, he needs to work harder to achieve that potentially by the end of next campaign.

It makes little sense for the Hammers to lose the forward now while his stock is so low, keeping hold of him could prove to be a much better option.

With Crysencio Summerville set to return from injury, the Ghanaian is set to face stern competition for his spot in the starting squad.

If Guilherme leaves, it opens the chance for him to step up but he still has to prove to Potter what he can do as part of his new look side.
