Liverpool have reportedly opened negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong over a summer transfer.
The Merseyside giants are expected to pursue a new right-back this summer with Trent Alexander-Arnold on his way out.
Frimpong has been identified as the priority target and Bild claim that the Reds want to bring him to Anfield this summer.
The same outlet claim that he could be signed for around £34m.
Frimpong has been a revelation during his time at Leverkusen. He has registered four goals and 11 assists this campaign.
He has the attacking traits to suit the Reds and could be a like-for-like replacement for Alexander-Arnold next season.
Alexander-Arnold's contract expires at the end of June and he reportedly has his sights on joining Real Madrid on a free.
The Reds are also poised to part ways with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah. The duo are also contracted until June 30.
As things stand, they are unlikely to pen new deals at the club.
