Manchester United are now in the race to sign a Premier League target for manager Ruben Amorim who has ‘world-class potential,’ according to stunning reports.
Ruben Amorim is tipped for a major Manchester United first-team squad overhaul in the summer transfer window after a rocky 2024-25 Premier League season.
The 40-year-old United manager inherited his team last November after he replaced ex-Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford dugout in 2024.
Erik ten Hag was sacked last October after a poor start to the campaign and Amorim has faced an uphill battle at United since his arrival from Sporting CP.
Amorim received an early boost to his United squad in the January window after the arrivals of Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven from Lecce and Arsenal respectively.

Man Utd now tipped for sensational summer transfer for Premier League target Jobe Bellingham

Bellingham left Birmingham City in 2023 and the 19-year-old midfielder has made a name for himself at Championship side Sunderland after his move to the Black Cats.
The Sunderland star, who is under contract until 2028, has played 34 times for his side in the current season and he has netted four times and picked up three assists.
United were tipped to sign Bellingham in the past and the Red Devils are now one of six clubs linked with the brother of the England and Real Madrid midfielder.
According to TEAMtalk, United, Brighton, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham and Chelsea are all in the race to land Bellingham from Sunderland.
The publication reports that there is a ‘strong chance’ of Bellingham ‘playing in the Premier League next season,’ even if Sunderland fail to secure promotion.

Why Ruben Amorim needs Sunderland star Jobe Bellingham at Man Utd for next season
Ruben Amorim’s tactical system relies on its midfield strength and the United manager is expected to reinforce his first-team options in the summer.
The former Sporting CP boss has seen his midfield choices limited at times this season due to injuries to the likes of United stars Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte.
Amorim could also see a further clearout of his first-team squad in the summer and United midfielder Christian Eriksen is expected to leave at the end of the season.
The arrival of Jobe Bellingham at United could allow him to develop under Amorim and fight for a place in the midfield against the likes of Toby Collyer and Casemiro.
